Common Sense

Life would be so beautiful if the ‘common sense‘ would have been actually common to all human beings. Relationships are the crux of the society in which we live and thus uniformity in the values becomes necessary to create a society in which everyone is happy.

Due to the lack of standard set of values in each one of us, we are left with no choice but to blame some other human being or institution for want of something. How do we inculcate common values in everyone in this society? How do we ensure that these values are not just being spoken about but also practiced? These are questions for which I do not have clear answers. Nevertheless I have seen some souls who are actually making efforts in this direction by discussing the issues of human values and other aspects of life at places like academic institutions where it is undoubtedly required to empower the youth who will lead the society in the future.

It’s good to read about someone talking of ‘commonsense’ and ‘values’. Possibly, the question that you are asking in this post relates to the fact that our individual values differ and what might be ‘commonsense’ for one might be ‘nonsense’ for another. Yes, the society needs at this moment to search and find some ‘common values’ in order to inculcate a fresh set of principles, based not on caste and regional boundaries. Possibly, those values are ingrained in selfless love, friendship, beyond materialism, and sacrifice.

Good going and amazing vision for the blog …. cheers! 🙂
